After watching the email banter from Friday night and waking to a misty morning there was a willingness to get out if the weather would clear. Rob had posted Singlie as a strong possibility with start around 1pm. Tommy and Jamie called sick due to 'man-flu', or perhaps Tommy had tried Gerald's cure and found it only made the headache worse!
John Newton and I set off from our prospective locations on the 5th September to meet up in Barcelona for the night, just as well as BA had left the bag with my pod harness in London. Having picked that bag up at the airport the following day at lunch time we then then push on that afternoon in organized transport to Ager, which is in the very controversial Spanish state of Catalonia (Independence/Freedom from the oppressors!!!!!!) for the registration to The Gin Wide Open 2014 competition.
Today Tinto beckoned. Rob ,Gerald and myself met up in Innerleithen and headed across together. We arrived around 11.15am to find things a little windy so we went into Biggar for a light snack " An all day breakfast" and lots of tea, it turned out to be a good move.
Nae wind... But I have another fly down under my belt.
