A bit of chat about where to go flying today, if there is any South in the wind we have lots of great options, we even have one that you can drive right onto the launch...on a tar road.
We arranged to meet at high noon just in case it was not flyable so we could have a fight instead, Ahem.
It was flyable, light wind to start with making it scratchy. It soon picked up and we were able to get a little alltitude and push out so we could turn in the small thermals, it was lovely.
After a bit it started to get stronger so Rob and myself top landed, not so easy but we managed. Derek was enjoying boating about way out in front and was looking smoothhhhhhhhhhhhh. But on the hill it was now a little bit windy, and then it picked up a little more and he was forced to push a long way out and down to land. when he had packed up we had him back on take off in no time at all. Roads up to launch are great things.
We were on the hill for 5 hours today. flying, chatting, laughing taking in the rays and the social ambience of flying.
A good turn out as well. Rob, Jamie , Chris, Stephen, Derek, Gerald.
