Another chance at evening flying. A plan was made. Singlie with options to move on.
So... got to Singlie and Rob said it was too west.
We then parked up at Witchie and the four of us (Rob, Derek, Andrew and myself) headed up and over to Rough Knowe.
20min walk up and over to a suitable take of wasn't too bad.
Getting over the wall with possible electric fence was more interesting.
may be worth further investigation for a gate or better crossing point.
Rob was first to the top. he looked a bit lost but that's cause it was NWish breeze rather than the westerly we expected.
faffing about and Derek wanted to check if his glider and harness really did match his car. close but maybe a shade or two out.
We headed off to find a north west face. found one and Derek sort of flew/ bounced / groundhandled down to us. feet were off the ground at at least one point but not sure if it counts as flying.
More faffing.
Talk of a fly down.
Wings were removed from bags but not a lot of Up in the breeze.
Rob called it a day first as it was going to be epic on Wednesday...
The three of us remaining did a few launches but the breeze was getting lighter and lighter. So we packed up (at which point a steady westerly (still light) seemed to set up)
The hill has some good faces (and shallow ones too) so worth looking at again.
