Where and when we've been flying
Had a nice flight or three at dungavel this evening.
During a whistle stop tour of Denmark decided that it was time to head for Nordjylland and the coastal dunes and cliffs around Lokken facing out into the North Sea. There are over 20km of cliffs ranging in height from 50 - 300 ft, most of the them with a wide beach that you can drive along.
A promising but late forecast prompted an afternoon off work and headed up to Cacra to see if I could get some flying in.
Very quiet at Bridgend but nice and flyable.

Craig Fell was the name and south of Moffat on the old Carlisle road was the place, roughly speaking. This westerly ridge can be seen from the M74 motorway no problem and has apparently been enticing the Wingbeat crew for some years and today became the day to give it a trial run.
If there was ever a day that could cause the superstitious to question their beliefs, today was one of them.
Admittedly, I thought it was going to be another one of those overcast, wet, windy and miserable days - your typical British mid-summer's day. The view out of the window in the morning suggested it would be, however, lady luck was on our side! Whether Mother Nature felt we had shown the patience and commitment it takes to be a paragliding pilot in the U.K, or just simply took sympathy on us, she granted us with a day pass at Bridgend.
Neil was at the hill by 09:30 and reported it was a tad strong but flyable.
Rob and myself pondered different sites before deciding to join Neil.
