Road Access

Approach along the Ettrick valley


Parking:

Park at or near the Boston Hall.
Park sensibly and do not block the access track or gates.
Take quad bike track up the hill.
Can take a while to walk up but is generally worth it.


Take-Off:

Lots of space / options.
Generally at the same level or just below the cairn.


Landing:

WhatThreeWords : players.eruptions.helpers

Any suitable field to the south of the road.
Do not land in any fields with livestock or crop


Flying:

Excellent in SE wind and good potential for XC.
One of the bigger flydowns in the area


Hazards:

Check NOTAM, CANP essential if flying mid week since this area is used for low flying exercises by military fast jets.
No mobile phone coverage in the valley
