We just had a big club day out on Mountbenger. After some initial concerns about wind direction/speed we got some unexpectedly good conditions for mid-October.

A second trip to Singlie in a week and it didn't disappoint.
Plenty of lift and easy to push well out front, although quite lumpy in places. Good fun but not relaxing flying.
This site is quickly becoming one of my favourites - it just hoovers up the lift from the valley.
Forecasts have been a bit all over the place recently and difficult to predict the good days. Funny though, I always think a good day may turn out less good, but never consider the reverse that a bad day might be much less bad and even good.Yesterday at Singlie we got the latter, and were rewarded with over an hour of surprisingly lifty conditions that let us have a right good explore of this new (for us) site.
A plan was hatched to do this ridge run the night before. Forecast suggested a fairly strong wind and I was taken aback at the amount of wind blowing up the valley at 8.30 am to the point of holding back for a while.
It was flyable at times at witchie. Chris was first up mid morning with his radio controlled toys then later in the air with his glider joined by Alex.
